Spent the day with Anna and a bunch of lovely dogs.
Before approaching Mark he was sat sketching whilst Chicago peacefully slept by him resting his head on Marks knee. Mark had rescued Chicago from a caravan site where Chicago had been left on a chain and was badly bleeding having been left for dead. Mark has been on the streets for 2 years with Chicago ( now 12 ) and as so often is the case he told me how he always puts his dog first, despite snidely remarks from passers by it is as clear as day to see this.
“My name is Tamar, and I will be 3 years old in Feb 2017. I am VERY handsome and I know it. One of my grandads was Supreme Champion of Canada and my Daddy was Crufts Retriever Champion in 2016. My Mummy was lovely and my master and mistress love me very much - they have had 6 retrievers before me but I will be getting a young playmate (Retriever, of course) in March”. I live in rural Wiltshire but I like Clapham Common because there are so many other dogs around, even if they are not as well-bred as I am".
My dogs name is Wilson, after the film Castaway.
He is obsessed with balls and often comes out of the ditch looking for his ball and comes out looking very pleased with himself with a rugby ball!
" Nothing Wilson likes more than Spot The Ball in the park"
